Diligence is important, but sometimes it’s okay to be a little lazy.

Right now I find myself in the middle of a few knitting projects which require patient plodding, and they’re fun but it takes a while. Even without writing a blog it feels really good to finish something.

It’s important to finish things. To remember that you can. To tide you over while you work your way through a tough project. It reminds you what you’re working for. It scratches that itch for which builds as you just want to finish the damn thing.

Quick knits have other virtues of course. Got a birthday or holiday coming up that you need a present for? Did you lose your hat on the subway in the dead of winter and need a new one? Is an order of yarn coming and you literally have no room in your stash? Is it a first time project? Common questions to which the answer is a quick knit hat.
